Who can come?
The
Raleigh Centre is suitable for all
older people. Facilities range from hairdressing and podiatry (chiropody)
to snooker and table football.
A stimulating activity programme include outings,
exercise, discussion groups, art and craft, music appreciation,
games and singing.
The
Bradbury Centre is suitable for
more active older people, with a range of activities including Tai
Chi, yoga, discussion groups, chess, bridge, dance, photography,
a state of the art computer suite and an inviting all day cafe.
Transport
We can provide accessible door-to-door transport
to and from the Raleigh Centre for people unable to travel independently.
Our own transport services are, however, limited: we will help you
to find alternatives.
How much does it cost?
It costs £5.00 per day to attend Raleigh
or Newent, which includes refreshments, activities and a two-course
lunch. Door-to-door transport on our minibus costs £3.00 (£1.50
each way). Age Concern Kingston is a non-profit organisation. We
aim to keep our charges as low as possible whilst providing a quality
service. Charges in our centres are subsidised. Charges at Bradbury
vary according to activity.
Computer Classes
We are currently offering computer classes
focusing mainly on the internet.
The classes are designed to accommodate people
with varied knowledge of computers, from complete beginners to more
advanced, please contact us if you are

Age Concern Kingston also supports four lunch
clubs in the Borough:

- The Pavilion Lunch Club: Fridays (12. - 2.00)
