About the Guide to Social Activities

This sixth edition of the Guide covers the whole of Kingston. It sets out some basic information on some of the various voluntary groups and organisations offering social support to older people living in Kingston. It tries to answer the What, Where, When, and How questions to give you enough information on local resources to find out more if the resource looks interesting...

The information contained in the Guide was provided by local voluntary groups and organisations themselves. Information was either collected over the phone or completed by a person from the relevant group or organisation.

The information is presented in good faith and in the expectation that it is correct and accurate. Should the information in the Guide be incorrect, inaccurate or just out of date, please let us know so that we can put it right.

    Who is the Guide for?

The Guide is aimed at anyone with an interest in the various facilities and opportunities available in Kingston for older people to meet together to do particular activities, or just sit down over a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy each other's company.

The Guide may therefore be of direct interest to older people themselves, their carers or to professionals and volunteers working with older people.

    Using the Guide

Each Guide entry is listed alphabetically according to the name of the group or organisation offering various facilities. If you know of the name of the activity/place you are looking for, click on the letter that the name of the activity/club/venue begins with.
